OBJECTIVES
Since high school I have participated in the work of architectural studios as a versatile team member. In the last 25 years, I have worked to accomplish fine residential design, project management and commercial design. I have provided the highest quality architectural visualizations and presentations for clients and employer's clients and have contributed skillfully from many years of experience in a broad range of project types. I have executed completed the many necessary contract documents - plans and specifications - for building permitting and construction while in my own design practice and for that ot a number of architectural studios. Over the years I have been fortunate to contribute to excellent production and design practices for architecture and interior architecture both commercial and residential.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficient in the use of a variety of software appropriate for design and for architecture including: Autocad Architecture Rhino 3D, r4 Cinema 4D, r11 (equal to 3D Studio Max) Photoshop. • Have trained with dedicated interest in Autodesk Revit Architecture (BIM) (3 university semesters) and Vectorworks Architect 2011 ( 1 semester) • Recently have used Revit to build project models to determine building component interferences and other purposes while using ACAD for construction documents and other purposes. • Use Cinema 4D for location-accurate solar studies, for fly-around views and for renderings when importing models made in Revit, and use Rhino 3D for accurate architectural models. I am also proficient with Corel Draw 4 (like Illustrator Illustrator file format/ functionality) and and Photoshop.
FOR COMMERCIAL AND CIVIL PROJECTS
• Contract documents, design, interior architectural design, fixtures and furnishings design, details design, materials and methods, and preparation of material necessary to convey a studio's concepts and proposals to clients or owners. • 3D architectural visualizations of the highest publication quality. Presentations are suitable to effectively convey all aspects of the studio's design intent, in a compelling way, to clients, to regulating agencies and governing associations and to gain new work for the studio. • Participated in material and methods workshops and presentations pertaining to LEED certification and for "green" building design approaches. • Excellent communication skills in the office, with consultants, clients, and with municipal authorities.
PERSONAL DATA
ARCHITECTURE: I have developed an interest in the built environment began during 3 summers in high school while working in architect's offices. Studied architecture, architectural interiors and fine arts at the University of Texas and was awarded scholarships for best competitive student design portfolios. Served in the US Navy as an illustrator in a combat zone for one year. I continue present interests in architecture and fine arts with university courses in BIM (Building Information Modeling) architectural software and related studies. I am a current member of ASAI, American Association of Architectural Illustrators.
FINE ARTS: Beginning with university studies in the fine arts painting labs, I developed a non-dual practice of meditation which has informed all future work in Abstract Expressionism. As a past juried member of the Santa Fe Society of Artists and have been in the gallery stable of several notable galleries in Santa Fe and other cities, I have had a number of one-person shows. My work is in the collections of several notable collectors in the US and abroad and have participated in several juried exhibitions at the Expo New Mexico. I am accomplished in oil media, watercolor and pen-ink. I am presently painting and drawing in studio at Corrales, New Mexico.
